Men's Cross Country Competes in Brooks Paul Short Run

The Moravian College men's cross country team competed at the 38th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run at Lehigh University Friday afternoon. The Greyhounds had a team score of 757, while Iona College won the race with 125 points. The University of Oklahoma won the gold race and Kutztown University won the white race as 133 teams and 1,593 runners competed in three 8,000-meters races.

Individually for the Moravian men, senior Matthew Lutcza finished in ninth place out of 382 runners with a time of 25:57, the fourth fastest time in school history and Lutsza's second best career time. Junior Donnie Noble took 118th place with a time of 27:08, and classmate Dylan Marton took 147th place with a time of 27:25. Freshman Alec Duncan ran a 27:40 which was good for 183rd place. Classmate 358th Corey Schauerman finished with a time of 30:27.

The Greyhounds return to action Saturday, October 8 when they travel to Center Valley, PA for the DeSales University Invitational. The race is expected to start at 10:30 a.m.
