Men's Lacrosse Starts 2017 Slate on March 1

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's lacrosse team will start its 2017 schedule on Wednesday, March 1 in a non-conference match at Immaculata University beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Second-year Head Coach Dave Carty returns 19 players from last year's squad that finished with a 10-6 record and played in the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament first round in the program's return to varsity status. Carty will also lead the Greyhounds in their first Landmark Conference season since 2010.

The Hounds are scheduled to play their first-ever game on John Makuvek Field on Saturday, March 4 when the host Bryn Athyn College at 1:00 p.m. Moravian is then scheduled to head to Virginia for Spring Break where the squad will play rival Muhlenberg College in Virginia Beach on March 8 before playing at Ferrum College on March 11 before returning to Bethlehem.

The Blue and Grey will host Alvernia University on March 15 at 4:00 p.m. before a trip to Neumann University on March 18. Moravian makes its return to Landmark Conference action on Wednesday, March 22 when the squad hosts Elizabethtown College at 4:00 p.m., and the Hounds finish the first month of the season in a home contest with Wilkes University on March 25 at 4:00 p.m.

April will see the Greyhounds playing five of six matches against Landmark Conference competition with road matches at Susquehanna University on April 1, Drew University on April 15 and the Catholic University of America on April 22. Moravian will host The University of Scranton on April 8 at 1:00 p.m. before finishing the regular season on April 29 in a 6:00 p.m. match versus Goucher College. The Greyhounds' lone non-conference contest of April will be another night contest as the squad welcomes the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 6:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, April 26.
