Biography

Mark Fleming enters his 28th year as Director of Athletic Communications at Moravian University. His main duties at Moravian include promoting each of Moravian's 23 athletic programs.

Honors and Awards

  • Awarded the Lester Jordan Award by then College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA and now College Sports Communicators - CSC) for exemplary service to the Academic All-America program and the promotion of the ideals of being a student-athlete (June 2013).
  • Won a District 2 Award in CSC's Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest for his Athlete Profile on Libario Obeid, (June 2014) 
  • Won the District 2 Award in CSC's Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest  for his Coach/Administrator Profile on Dawn Ketterman-Benner (June 2015) 
  • Selected for induction into the CSC Hall of Fame, (June 2021)
  • Received the CSC President's Award. (June 2022)

  • Bachelor's degree in speech communications and a minor in journalism from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (December 1994)
  • Master's degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (May 1997)
  • Member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC), and he served a three-year term on the Board of Directors from June 2011 until June 2014
  • Served a three-year term as the chair of CSC's College Division Management Advisory Committee in June 2014 through 2017.
  • Finished a four-year term as the Chair for the CSC Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 2022 and continues to work with the committee and is a former member CSC Academic All-America Committee, which he joined in 1996
  • Communications Director for the DIII Sports Information Directors Board since its inception in 2009
  • Served as the initial chair of the Landmark Conference Sports Information Directors Committee from 2007-09 and served as the committee's chair in 2018-21
