BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team slipped one spot to No. 22 in the country this week in both the D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 and the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball Top 30 poll announced Tuesday.
The Hounds, who are 29-8 overall and clinched the top seed in the 2014 Landmark Conference Tournament with a 14-4 regular season mark in conference action, were ranked No. 21 a week ago, making the Top 25 for the first time in school history. The Greyhounds had received votes in seven of the first nine D3baseball.com polls this season before jumping into the poll with 142 points last Tuesday. Moravian has 116 points this week.
The squad was ranked 29th in the ABCA poll two weeks ago before moving to 21st last week. The Greyhounds have 143 points in that poll this week.
Moravian has defeated three nationally-ranked teams this spring including a win over then No. 6 Kean on April 14. Kean is No. 11 in the D3baseball poll and No. 13 in the ABCA poll this week. The Hounds also defeated then No. 17 Keystone College on February 23 and then No. 25 Adrian (Mich.) College on March 3, and Adrian is still receiving votes in both polls.
The Greyhounds' 29 wins also include a pair of victories over Heidelberg (Ohio) University on March 2, and Heidelberg is currently 29-7 and ranked No. 8 in the D3baseball poll and No. 9 in the ABCA poll this week.
Moravian has a game left on its schedule versus Rowan University on May 9, and the Profs are currently No. 7 in the D3baseball poll and No. 11 in the ABCA poll.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, May 3 when the host the 2014 Landmark Conference Tournament at Gillespie Field as the top seed. Moravian will play fourth-seed The United States Merchant Marine Academy in the opening game at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
