Baseball Awarded Top Seed at Misericorida Regional in 2014 NCAA DIII Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.. --- The Moravian College baseball team has received one of 14 Pool C/at-large berths into the 2014 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, and the No. 22 ranked Greyhounds have been seeded first in the Misericordia Regional to be held at PNC Field in Moosic, Pennsylvania beginning on Wednesday, May 14.

The Hounds, who have a school record 32 victories this spring and a 32-10 record, will play eighth seed Haverford College on Wednesday with the game time to be announced later on Monday. The rest of the regional includes second seed Rowan University, third seed Susquehanna University, fourth seed Baldwin-Wallace College, fifth seed and host Misericordia University, sixth seed Keystone College and seventh seed Wesleyan (Conn.) University.

The Greyhounds, under the direction of eighth-year Head Coach Paul Engelhardt, who as a career mark of 195-130, became just the sixth team in the 75-year history of Moravian's baseball program to win 20 games in a season and second to reach 30 wins, and all six seasons have been under coach Engelhardt coming in each of the last sixth years that have seen the program in the postseason. Engelhardt has led Moravian to a pair of Landmark Conference titles in 2010 and 2013 in his tenure.
