Bull Selected to ABCA/Rawlings Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Moravian College senior third baseman Alex Bull has been selected to the 2016 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team.

Bull helped the Greyhounds to a 22-21 record this spring including the program's eighth consecutive trip to the Landmark Conference Tournament with Moravian earning the second seed and hosting a semifinal series for the second straight spring.

Bull led the Hounds with a .402 average this season. He reached base safely in the first 42 games of the year including hitting streaks of 17 games to start the season and another 21-game streak. Bull collected 66 hits on the year, one shy of the school record, and he added team highs of 42 runs and 14 doubles to go with three home runs, 33 RBIs, 18 walks, six sacrifices and seven stolen bases. Bull had 78 assists in the field to finish his career tenth in school history with 206 assists, and he also had 134 career hits, which is tied for 12th in school history.

"Alex had a great year," stated Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He was on base every game except the last one of the year. He was very consistent offensively, and our best offensive player this season. He is very deserving of the All-Region recognition."

Bull was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2016, one of six Greyhounds to earn All-Conference accolades this season. He is also the 11th Greyhound to earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors in the last five seasons.
