Football Opens Three-Game Road Trip Saturday at Franklin & Marshall

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- After playing four of its first six games at Rocco Calvo Field, the Moravian College football team begins a three-game Centennial Conference road trip on Saturday, October 22 when the Greyhounds head to Lancaster for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at Franklin & Marshall College.

The Hounds head into just their third road game of the season with a 4-2 overall record and a 3-2 slate in Centennial Conference action after losing at home for the first time in eight games with a last minute 35-34 loss to Susquehanna University this past Saturday.

Senior running back Chris Negron became the first player in school history to reach 4,000 career rushing yards last weekend with his 19th career 100-yard game to push his total to 4,004 yards. Senior quarterback Mike Hayes passed for a career high 384 yards against the Crusaders and needs just 288 more yards to become the third quarterback in school history to reach the 6,000-yard mark. Junior wide receivers Aaron Hudson (10 catches, 137 yards) and Justice Anderson (9 receptions, 172 yards) both had career-best games last Saturday with Anderson's 172 yards the most for a Moravian wide receiver since Michael Abbate had 188 at Widener in the 2000 season.

Senior linebacker Ed Delia went over 15 tackles for the second straight game this past Saturday with 16 tackles to increase his conference leading total to 71 for the year. Moravian's defense picked up its 15th turnover gained of the season and is tied for first in the conference with a +1.0 turnover margin per game.
