BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is women's track & field student-athlete Jenevieve Eberly from the Class of 2021. Eberly won the 2019 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.87 seconds, and she was third in the triple jump, fourth in the long jump and fourth in 400-meter hurdles in the same meet. She took third in the long jump, sixth in the 400-meter hurdles and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 2018 outdoors. Indoors, Eberly was third in the long jump, fourth in the triple jump and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 2020, fifth in the long jump and sixth in both the triple jump and 60-meter hurdles in 2019, and second in the long jump to earn All-Conference honors and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 2018.

How did you choose your sport? I've always loved track and Field since I started in eighth grade. I love how it is both an individual and team sport.
How did you come to Moravian College? Moravian College was about last on my radar until I switched my major to nursing. Once I found out how incredible their nursing program was and met the track coaches, I knew it was the right fit.
What is your major and how did you choose it? I am a nursing major. I chose nursing because I have always loved caring for others and in nursing you are continuously learning.
What are your future plans? I plan to pass my NCLEX and then begin my job at Lancaster General Hospital.
What is your favorite place on campus? The Star Room in the Sally building is my favorite place on campus.
What activities/organizations at Moravian college have you been active in as a student-athlete? I am active in SAAC, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, and Sigma Nursing Honor Society
What is your most memorable moment at Moravian? Winning the Women's 2019 Outdoor Track and Field championships. That year we had about half our team leave the team. We all were pushed more than ever but ended up pulling off the win together.
What advice do you have for prospective student-athletes looking to attend Moravian College? Don't be afraid to ask for help, whether with your sport or schoolwork.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? Be present, it goes by fast
Who are your role models/most influential people? My sister
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. I am neighbors with Amish.
