Seven Greyhounds Named to Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Seven members of the Moravian College football team have been named to the 2014 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll that includes 87 football players and a total of 387 student-athletes from the conference.

To be named to the Centennial Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve, be a sophomore or higher in class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. The conference defines a key reserve as a student-athlete who appears in at least 50% of his or her team's contests or participates in the conference championships in Olympic sports.

The Greyhounds had five seniors on the Academic Honor Roll – defensive back Ricky Sinnig, running back Luke Gotzon, long-snapper/linebacker Gene Molisso, wide receiver Tom Natole and defensive back David Siepietowski. Junior defensive back Anthony Orlando and sophomore wide receiver Jalen Snyder-Scipio also garnered spots on the Academic Honor Roll for the Greyhounds.

"I am very proud of this group for not only what they do on the field for the program but the work they put in off of the field," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "They are all outstanding student-athletes and will have great careers in the future outside of the game. These five seniors will always be part of our Greyhound family and will continue to represent the College after graduating."

Sinnig and Molisso are three-time Centennial Academic Honor Roll selections while Gotzon is on the list for a second straight year.

Orlando was named to the 2014 Centennial All-Conference Second Team after being on the First Team in 2013, and Snyder-Scipio will enter his junior year with 995 career receiving yards on 86 receptions.

The Greyhounds finished 5-5 overall and were tied for fifth with a 4-5 mark in Centennial Conference action.
