TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Tyler Smith has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Smith, who earned his second Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honor of the fall, helped the Greyhounds to a team score of 305 as the squad tied for second of 18 teams at the Muhlenberg College Invitational last Monday at the Lehigh Country Club. Moravian's B team was fifth in the tournament with a 311. Smith finished in a tie for third of the 87 golfers with a three-over par round of 73 that included a pair of birdies and 11 pars on the day.

"Tyler has come back strong this fall after his back injury," stated Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "I think he is just glad to be playing which is helping him enjoy it which is resulting in some good scores."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, October 12 in the John Makuvek Cup being played at the Lehigh Country Club with tee off set for 12:30 p.m.
