TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman Victor Tavares has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Tavares led Moravian individually as the Greyhounds finally opened the 2018 spring season with an eighth place finish of 20 teams at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Invitational played at the Hershey Country Club East Course. Tavares finished in a three-way tie for second place of 103 golfers with a six-over par round of 77 that included a pair of birdies and nine pars.
:Victor finished the fall strong and it is nice to see him come out and play a really solid round in pretty poor weather conditions," stated Head Coach Kevin Edwards.
The Hounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, April 10 at the Ursinus College Invitational being played at the Stonewall Golf Club.
