IMMACULATA, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad scored two goals in the first 16 minutes of action on the way to a 4-1 non-conference victory at Immaculata University Thursday evening.
How It Happened
- The Hounds took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by junior forward Carly Pyatt in the 12th minute
- The Blue & Grey doubled the advantage four and a half minutes later when sophomore defender Grace Blenis found the net
- The Mighty Macs scored just 25 seconds before the end of the half as the squads headed to the intermission with Moravian leading 2-1
- The Hounds pushed the lead to 3-1 in the 79th minute as freshman defender Jenna Castaldo put the ball in the net
- Moravian finished off the scoring in the 89th minute as senior defender Kiara Morales drilled the ball into the goal
Inside the Numbers
- Pyatt netted her third goal of the season and the fourth of her career while Blenis, Castaldo and Morales each netted their first career goals
- Senior goalie Payce Korpics posted one save in the first 45 minutes of action while senior goalie Paige Harrison made two saves in the second half
- The Hounds had a 30-5 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks
