Scaff Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region V Second Team

Hailey Scaff for All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian University junior defender Hailey Scaff has been named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region V Second Team.

Scaff, who was selected as the 2023 Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Year while earning a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team, helped Moravian to an 8-5-4 overall mark and a 5-2-2 slate in the Landmark Conference regular season. The Greyhounds entered the postseason as the fourth seed.

Scaff scored her first career goal this fall on a penalty kick, and she contributed an assist. Scaff also led the Moravian defense that posted seven shutouts and allowed just 0.88 goals per match. In her career as a three-year starter, Scaff has registered a goal and two assists.

"We are excited for Hailey to be named to the All-Region team. She is very committed to her development as a player. Seeing that payoff in her awards within the conference and now within the region is fantastic," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk.

Scaff is the 14th Greyhound to receive USC (formerly NSCAA) All-Region honors and the first since Paige Weiss in 2019. Moravian has a total of 21 All-Region selections with Carli Miller '00 earning the award four times and Tracy Fitzpatrick '09 honored three times.
