Women's Cross Country Runs at Lehigh to Begin 2015 Campaign

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's cross country squad hit the course for the first time in 2015 by competing in the Lehigh University Invitational Friday evening.

The Greyhounds combined for an average of 25:18 on the 6,000-meter course on the Goodman Campus with junior Sarah Hughes placing 13th of 60 runners in a time of 23:20.4. Junior Meg Brockett was one spot back in a season-opening time of 23:38.4 while freshman Kelly Gonoude ran a 25:41.4 in her first collegiate race.

Freshman Alyssa Limbaugh had a time of 26:31.3 in her collegiate debut while junior Larissa Strycharz ran 27:14.4. Sophomore Kirsten Lebo turned in a time of 27:53.7 while freshman Lian Grow rounded out the Greyhounds' competitors with a 30:32.2 in her first collegiate event.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 26 in the Dickinson College Long/Short Course Invitational run at Big Spring High School in Newville.
