Women's Cross Country Races Hard at Rowan University

GLASSBORO, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's cross country team raced hard on a chilly morning at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Border Battle.

Finishing first for the Greyhounds was junior Sarah Hughes posting a time of 22:07, which was good enough to place her 22nd overall for the 6,000 meter race. Finishing next for Moravian was junior Meg Brockett, who ran a 22:38 placing her 55th overall. Freshman Kelly Gonoude was next to finish for the squad, posting a solid time of 24:26 while freshman Alyssa Limbaugh crossed the line with a 24:41. Hughes, Brockett, Gonoude, and Limbaugh all raced to season best times for the 6,000-meter race today.

Sophomore Larkin Brown was next across the line racing to a time of 25:25 while junior Larissa Strycharz raced to a season-best with a 25:56. Rounding out the race for Moravian was sophomore Kirsten Lebo, who raced to a 26:52.

Up next for the Blue and Grey is the Landmark Conference Championship race on Saturday, October 31. The race will be hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point, N.Y.
