Brockett & Hughes Earn All-Conference Honors as Hounds Place 3rd at Landmark Meet

KING'S POINT, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's cross country team placed third at the 2015 Landmark Conference Championship meet hosted by The United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday at Sunken Meadow State Park, and the Hounds had a pair of runners earn All-Conference honors.

The Blue and Grey posted a team score of 101 points while Elizabethtown College captured the team title with 19 points. Junior Meg Brockett earned Landmark All-Conference First Team accolades by finishing fifth of the 82 runners as she turned in a time of 23:37.42 on the 6,000-meter course. Junior Sarah Hughes was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team after placing eighth in 23:49.02.

Freshman Alyssa Limbaugh took 21st in the race with a time of 25:21.77 while classmate Kelly Gonoude was 34th in 26:17.32. Also competing for Moravian were sophomore Jillian Troisi with a time of 26:51.41, sophomore Kirsten Lebo at 27:07.75 and junior Larissa Strycharz in 27:17.4. 

Moravian will have a week off before competing in the 2015 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 14 being hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.
