Moravian Men Set to Tip-Off 2017-18 on November 15 Versus Muhlenberg

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's basketball team is set to open its 2017-18 season on Wednesday, November 15 when the Greyhounds host rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference game in Johnston Hall with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. for a live broadcast on TV-2 Sports.

Third-year Head Coach Justin Potts returns 12 players from last year's 19-9 squad that played in the Landmark Conference Championship game and the ECAC Division III Quarterfinals. The returnees include 10 players that saw action in at least 18 games a year ago led by junior guard Jimmy Murray, who was selected to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last winter. Murray was second on the 2016-17 squad in scoring at 13.2 points per game to go with a team-high 56 three-pointers, 39 rebounds, 29 assists, 15 steals and 12 blocked shots.

Junior forward Oneil Holder averaged 10.8 points and 5.0 rebounds a season ago with 34 assists, 27 steals, 17 blocked shots and 18 three-pointers while sophomore guard C.J. Barnes contributed 7.1 points per contest in his debut season along with 71 rebounds, 42 three-pointers, 26 assists and 10 steals. Sophomore forward John Hargraves had 110 points, 62 rebounds and 13 blocked shots in his first collegiate season while senior guard Matt Cardonne had 96 points, 26 three-pointers, 14 assists and ten boards.

Junior guard Will Brazukas had 60 assists, 32 steals, 46 rebounds and 59 points last winter while senior guard Khalil Rhett contributed 32 rebounds, 35 points, seven assists and six steals. Junior guard Nicholas Casazza had 46 points, 12 three-pointers and 10 rebounds while sophomore guard Elijah Davis added 25 points and 16 rebounds and sophomore guard Mike Martino had 22 points, 18 assists and 12 steals. Sophomores center Addis Ralph and Tyron Brown also return to give depth to the Greyhounds.
