BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team is in second place of 12 teams after the opening round of the 36-hole Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational being hosted by The University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Club.
The Greyhounds posted a team score of 307 and sit four strokes behind Marywood University.
Juniors Evan Dickinson and Jim Maru each carded four-over par rounds of 75 to be tied for sixth of the 60 golfers in the tournament. Sophomore Dan Leppert is tied for 11th with an opening round of 76 on the par 71 course. Freshman Tyler Smith carded an 81 and is tied for 32nd while freshman Kevin Kunkle had an 85 in the opening round.
The Greyhounds will finish off the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational on Monday, April 14 with the second round.
