ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Moravian College junior Evan Dickinson has been named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week.

Dickinson averaged 76.5 strokes per round over two rounds last week as Moravian was third at the Moravian Spring Invitational and in second place after the first round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational on Sunday. Dickinson was tied for seventh of 57 golfers at the Moravian Spring Invitational with a 78 on the par 72 Woodstone Country Club course on Thursday.

On Sunday, Dickinson carded a four-over par 75 in the opening round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by The University of Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Club. He is tied for sixth of 60 at the tournament. Moravian is completing the tournament's second round on Monday.

"Evan played well this week which will help the team out heading into the last two rounds of the conference championship this weekend," commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19 in the third and fourth rounds of the 2014-15 Empire 8 Conference Championships at the Hershey Country Club. The Greyhounds are in second place, 13 strokes behind S.t John Fisher (N.Y.) College entering the weekend after a two-day total of 629 last fall at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in September.
