Moravian Women Compete for First Time in Program History at Elizabethtown Fall Blue Jay Invitational

HERSHEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's golf team made its program debut as the squad competed in the Elizabethtown College Fall Blue Jay Invitational at the Hershey Country Club East Course Tuesday. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds did not score as a team with just three individuals competing in the tournament
  • Alvernia University finished first of the seven scoring teams with a four-person team score of 309 while York College of Pennsylvania was second at 317 

Moravian Results

  • Freshman Heidi Wegscheider led the Hounds with a round of 89 on the par 72 course as she finished in a tie for 13th of the 39 golfers. She recorded a birdie and four pars during her round
  • Freshman Ella Oswald carded a 103 to tie for 27th in her collegiate debut with one par on her scorecard
  • Freshman Alivia Zagra had a round of 105 in her first college appearance to place 29th, and she recorded one par
