BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Freshman Heidi Wegscheider of the Moravian University women's golf squad has been honored as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.
Wegscheider had strong start to her career in the first-ever week of competition for the Moravian women's golf program. She had rounds of 89, 81 and 79 during the week. Wegscheider carded an 89 to tie for 13th at the Elizabethtown Invitational to start her career, and she then finished in a tie for tenth with a 36-hole score of 160 at the two-day Catholic Cardinal Classic. Wegscheider had four birdies and 22 pars over 54 holes.
The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
