BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing to look back at its 2023-24 athletic campaign. The next match in the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year is our No. 8 highlight – the men's soccer squad shutting out Penn State-Abington, 1-0, on a bicycle kick goal in the first half.
The match was played at Penn State-Abington on September 16, 2023. In the 17th minute of the contest, the Greyhounds earned a corner kick. Junior midfielder Hunter Shay lined up to take the corner kick from the left side of the field. His kick found senior midfielder Dave Steinbach, who one-touched a pass toward senior defender Donald Gibbs. Gibbs fired off a bicycle kick into the net for his first goal of the season. Moravian's defense made the lead stand for the remainder of the contest for the victory.
