BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing to look back at its 2023-24 athletic campaign. The next event in the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year is our No. 2 highlight – the football squad scoring a touchdown and two-point conversion with 19 seconds remaining to defeat The Apprentice School, 29-28.

The game was played at Rocco Calvo Field on September 16, 2023 and was both the first home game and victory for first-year Head Coach Jeff Long. Neither squad scored in the first quarter, and the Greyhounds opened the scoring with just over five minutes left in the first half on a ten-yard touchdown run by senior running back Nate Boyle, who also kicked the extra-point. The Hounds added another TD with just 38 seconds left before the intermission as junior quarterback Jared Jenkins connected on a 37-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Jordan Lewis. Boyle's PAT sent the Blue & Grey to the locker room with a 14-0 lead.

Moravian began the second half with Jenkins finding senior wide receiver Jordan Bingham with a 42-yard touchdown pass. Boyle split the uprights again for a 21-0 lead with a little more than 11 minutes left in the third quarter. Apprentice scored the next four touchdowns to take a 28-21 edge with just 1:49 left in the contest. Jenkins led the Hounds on an 11-play, 75-yard drive that concluded with a two-yard TD pass to Bingham with 19 seconds left on the clock. The Hounds went for the two-point conversion and the win with Boyle hitting Bingham with a jump pass for the conversion.
