BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2022-23 athletic campaign. The first entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 10 highlight – the women's basketball team getting the chance to play a regular season game at the historic Palestra in Philadelphia.
The Landmark Conference announced in September 2022 that the conference signed a deal to have four games, two men's and two women's, played at The University of Pennsylvania in the historic Palestra on Sunday, January 15. The day would feature all eight conference schools and it began with the Greyhounds playing Drew University (https://www.moraviansports.com/sports/wbkb/2022-23/releases/20220928iiwqlv)
During the contest in January, the Hounds found themselves trailing the Rangers by 13 points at the end of the first quarter. Moravian slowly rallied and took a lead early in the fourth quarter; however, Drew would win the contest, 59-51.
