Smurla Selected as Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore distance runner Tara Smurla of the Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad has been selected as the Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger for her performance last week.

Smurla opened the non-scoring Ursinus College Bow Tie Invitational Friday evening by winning the 5,000-meter run with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 18:46.72.

The Moravian Student-Athlete of the Week Fueled by Honey Stinger is selected on Mondays by Moravian's athletic department leadership team.
