BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing to look back at its 2023-24 athletic campaign. The next contest in the Top 10 Exciting Games from the past year is our No. 4 highlight – the baseball squad rallying from a 6-0 deficit to defeat The Catholic University of America, 8-6, in the opening game of a series.

The game was played on Saturday, April 20, 2024 as the opening game of a Landmark Conference series at Gillespie Field. The Cardinals scored four runs in the top of the first inning and twice more in the top of the fourth to take the 6-0 lead.

The Greyhounds got onto the scoreboard and took the lead with a seven-run sixth inning. Graduate student second baseman Chris Pow drove in the opening run with an RBI double while senior shortstop Paul Croyle added an RBI single. Freshman catcher Wyatt Harrar knotted the game at 6-6 when he connected on a grand slam, and Pow added an RBI groundout as junior third baseman Nick Henry raced home with the go ahead run. The Blue & Grey added one more run in the bottom of the seventh when Harrar connected on an RBI sacrifice fly.
