BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University has elevated Meredith Mutcher to the position of Director of Men's & Women's Golf effective July 5.

"We are excited to elevate Meredith to the Director of Golf position," commented Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk. "Meredith has proven herself this past year on a part-time basis with the beginning of women's golf. We look forward to having Meredith full-time in the department while leading both the men's and women's programs."

Mutcher joined the Moravian staff in August of 2022 when the Greyhounds announced the addition of women's golf as the school's 23rd varsity sport beginning in 2023-24. She has spent the last year recruiting her inaugural women's team and will now guide the Greyhounds' men's program as well.

Mutcher served as the Head Girls Golf Coach in Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas in 2018 and as the Head Boys and Girls Golf Coach at Fort Worth (Texas) Christian School prior to that. She was an owner and teaching professional for four years for the Little Swingers Golf School and served as the assistant golf pro at the Northwood Club. The last three years before coming to Moravian, Mutcher was a mental health professional in crisis prevention and a case manager on a crisis team in Texas.

As a student-athlete herself, Mutcher received a full golf scholarship to Southern Methodist University. Mutcher was a Top-16 finisher in the U.S. Junior Girls Championship and a four-time qualifier for the Arkansas All-State Team. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas and has been working on her master's in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University.
