Farrell Top DIII Runner at Catholic Invitational

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Junior Dillon Farrell was the top NCAA Division III runner at The Catholic University of American Invitational Saturday morning.

The Greyhounds scored 116 points to place fifth of the seven teams while NCAA Division I American University won the meet with 16 points.

Farrell was sixth of the 73 runners in the race with a time of 19:33.6 on the 6,000-meter course, a shortened portion of the course that will be used for the Landmark Conference Championships in October. Junior Alec Duncan was second for Moravian and 17th overall in 20:28.8 while freshman Cory Taggert placed 33rd in 21:26.3.

Rounding out Moravian's top five were sophomore Jeremy Rigotti in 37th place in 21:45.0 and sophomore Maxwell Korten in 45th at 22:29.0. Freshman Andrew Mitchell finished 47th for the Greyhounds while freshman Alex Sobel was 58th, senior Sam Ansman in 70th and junior Corey Schauerman in 71st.

Moravian will have two weekends off before returning to action on Saturday, September 28th at the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational
