Farrell Earns Another ECAC Runner of the Week Honor

CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Junior Dillon Farrell of the Moravian College men's cross country team added another honor from the ECAC to his growing resume this season as he was named the Corvias ECAC Division III South Runner of the Week for the third time this fall.

Farrell, who earned Landmark Conference Runner of the Week honors this past Monday for the fifth time this season, broke his own school and Landmark Conference record for an 8,000-meter run with a time of 24:35 at the Princeton Invitational. Farrell was 28th of 272 runners in the race, and surpassed his previous record by nine seconds that he happened to set on the same course a year earlier.

Farrell ranked third among NCAA Division III runners at Princeton, and he finished over 150 spots ahead of the nearest Landmark Conference competitor.

The two-time defending Landmark Champion Greyhounds look to defend their championship at the 2013 meet on Saturday, November 3 at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. The race is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
