TOWSON, Md. – Senior guard D.J. Strayhorn of the Moravian College men's basketball team was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week announced Monday.
Strayhorn averaged 21 points and four rebounds a game to go with his seven assists and six steals in two games last week. He also shot .500 (15-for-30) from the field and .900 (9-for-10) from the charity stripe.
Strayhorn also became the 19th player in Moravian history with 1,000 career points in the Greyhounds 80-65 loss to The University of Scranton on Wednesday. Strayhorn then put up 25 points in an 82-55 victory over Goucher College in Saturday.
This winter, Strayhorn is averaging 15 points a game to go with his 63 assists, 51 rebounds and 30 steals.
Moravian returns to the court tonight as they travel to Haverford College. The contest is set for 7 p.m.
