Strayhorn Named to Landmark All-Conference First Team

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior guard D.J. Strayhorn (Swiftwater, Pa./Pocono Mountain East HS) of the Moravian College men's basketball team has been named to the 2013 Landmark All-Conference First Team.

Strayhorn, who also earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2012, has helped Moravian to a 14-11 overall record this season. The Greyhounds have received a berth in the 2013 ECAC Division III South Championship Tournament. Moravian will be the seventh seed in the tournament and travel to second seed DeSales University in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 27th for a 7:00 p.m. When the two teams met back in November, the Greyhounds pulled out a 66-64 overtime win.

Strayhorn is averaging 15.3 points per game this year after becoming the 19th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. He has 1,145 points in three seasons at Moravian and is currently 14th in school history. Strayhorn has 1,456 points in his collegiate career after 311 as a freshman at Marywood University.

The winter, Strayhorn also leads the Greyhounds with 91 assists, 46 steals and 42 three-pointers to go with 67 rebounds.

In his career at Moravian, Strayhorn has 302 assists (fourth in school history), 151 steals (third), a 15.7 point per game scoring average (fifth), 932 field goals attempted (sixth), 267 free throws made (sixth), 329 free throws attempted (seventh) and an 81.2 free throw percentage (fourth).
