Men's Tennis to Battle Drew in Landmark Conference Semifinals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College men's tennis team is set to take on Drew University in the Landmark Conference semifinals. The match will be played at Drew at 4 p.m. The Rangers (9-5, 7-0 Landmark) defeated the Greyhounds (8-4, 4-3 Landmark) earlier this year by a score of 9-0.

Senior Kevin Holze leads Moravian with a 10-2 singles and doubles record. Holze also holds the career doubles wins record (43) and is tied for second in career singles victories (50). Classmate Doug Morrow is 9-3 in singles and doubles action while also ranking fifth in all-time doubles wins (39). Senior Drew Shreter is 9-3 in singles and 7-5 in doubles action while ranking second in career doubles victories (42) and third in career singles wins (46).

Freshman Lewis Cooper is 8-4 in singles and 6-6 in doubles while junior Brad Kutcha is 7-5 in singles and has two doubles wins. Senior David Chan is 5-7 in singles play while earning two doubles victories.

Junior Raul Smego leads Drew with an 8-3 record in first singles while going 11-1 in first doubles. Senior Elliott Smego is 11-1 in first doubles to go with his 7-3 singles record while classmate Matt Brisotti is 11-3 in singles and 9-4 in doubles.

Junior Adam Gerber is 7-6 in singles and 3-3 in doubles while classmate Djedjy Hill is 6-2 in singles and 7-3 in doubles play. Junior Matt Imbo is 6-6 in singles play and 9-4 in doubles play while classmate Ryan Johnson is 6-4 in singles and 8-4 in doubles action.

The winner of this match will play the winner of the other Landmark Conference semifinal contest that puts the Catholic University of America versus The University of Scranton. The match will be played in Saturday, April 28th at the highest remaining seed.
