TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Giovanni Lombardi has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Lombardi, who is in his first year in the top spot in the lineup, earned wins at both first singles and first doubles to lead the Greyhounds to a 9-0 win over DeSales University last Wednesday as Moravian finished off the fall portion of its schedule with its first dual match won of the year.

"Gio is a player who works hard on his game and has come a long way: both physically and mentally," stated Director of Tennis Alan Heverly. "He deserves this award for his work and more accolades for his demonstrated leadership of the men's team."

Moravian is not scheduled to return to action until early March when the Greyhounds head to Orlando, Florida for its annual Spring Break trip that will include four matches.
