Alexandria Scheeler selected as Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman pitcher/designated player Alexandria Scheeler has been selected as the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Scheeler, who earned her second Landmark Conference Player of the Week honor of the spring, hit .550 to help No. 14 Greyhounds to a 6-0 for the week as the Hounds clinched the program's 25th straight postseason appearance. Scheeler was 11-for-20 at the plate with three runs, four doubles and six RBIs as she hit safely in all six games. She added a .571 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage. Scheeler also had a 3-0 mark and a 1.00 ERA with four runs, just three earned on 20 hits and three walks to go with three strikeouts in 21 innings of action in the circle. She also recorded one putout and six assists in seven chances in the field.

"Alex has been very consistent both at the plate and in the circle as she continues an outstanding freshman season," stated Head Coach John Byrne, who has guided Moravian to at least 23 wins in each of his 26 seasons leading the program. 'Alex has also had some timely hits to score runs including a three-RBI in the second game at the University of Scranton on Sunday to give us a seventh inning lead to sweep another doubleheader."

The Greyhounds, who are 23-3 on the year, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 11 when the squad hosts rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem.
