Brogan Selected to Google Cloud Softball Academic All-District Squad Selected by CoSIDA

Shannon Brogan named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College sophomore designated player Shannon Brogan has been selected to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for NCAA Division III schools in District IV.

To be eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.30 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve. District IV in NCAA Division III is made up of schools from Pennsylvania. Moravian has had 50 Greyhounds named Google Cloud Academic All-Americans® selected by CoSIDA.

By making the All-District First Team, Brogan is now forwarded onto the national ballot to try for Google Cloud Academic All-America® accolades, which will be announced on June 4. There were a total of three student-athletes from the Landmark Conference on Academic All-District Teams.

Brogan is majoring in psychology at Moravian, and she has a 3.44 GPA. This spring, Brogan was selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team as s designated player after making the All-Conference Second Team a year ago as a second baseman. She hit .413 in 2019 to go with 50 hits, 31 runs, 10 doubles, four triples, a homer, three stolen bases and 26 RBIs. After just two seasons with the Greyhounds, Brogan has a .389 career batting average to go with 93 hits, 63 runs, 17 doubles, four triples, three homers, seven stolen bases and 54 RBIs.

Off of the course, Brogan has named to the 2019 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll while being on Moravian's Dean's List twice.
