TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Meghan Bauer has been named as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.
Bauer, who received her second Landmark Conference honor of the season, earned a win and a save in a 3-1 week for No. 11 Moravian last week in non-conference action. Bauer had a 0.00 ERA with a shutout, six strikeouts and just six hits and two walks allowed in 9.1 innings of action. Bauer tossed all seven innings with three strikeouts in a 12-0 shutout of Eastern University. She then came in a tossed the final 2.1 innings with three strikeouts to earn a save in a 5-4 win at Ursinus College.
"Meghan has really stepped up when needed in relief as well as a spot starter like we used her against Eastern last week," stated Head Coach John Byrne.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 25 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Haverford College beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem.
