Greyhounds Compete in 41st Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's cross country squad returned to action Saturday in the 41st Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on the Goodman Campus.

The Hounds placed 27th of 40 teams in the Brown race, one of four races in the meet for women. The Hounds had a team score of 670 and were led by senior Emily Lambright, who took 99th of the 360 runners in the race with a season-best time of 23:12 on the 6,000-meter course. In fact, 10 of the 11 Greyhound runners on the day had their top time of the season with several decreasing their time by nearly a minute.

Senior Claire Del Casale was 132nd in the race in 23:27.00 while senior Devon Bedell was 139th in 23:32 and sophomore Meg Brockett took 158th place in a time of 23:44. Freshman Meredith Colton finished in 186th at an even 24 minutes.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 11 in the Landmark Conference Preview Meet being hosted by Goucher College on the course that will be used next month for the 2014 Landmark Conference Championships.
