BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University football team will kick off the 2023 season on Friday, September 1 with a non-conference game at rival Muhlenberg College with the contest starting at 7:00 p.m. under the lights at Frank Marino Field at Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown.
The game between the Greyhounds and the Mules moves back to a non-conference contest and from the season finale to the season opener in 2023 as Moravian joins the Landmark Conference this fall. The Hounds have spent the last 15 years as an associate member of the Centennial Conference; however, the Landmark Conference is beginning to offer football as a conference sport this year to bring all of Moravian's sports under the same conference umbrella.
The Hounds will have three more non-conference games starting with a trip Utica (N.Y.) University on Saturday, September 8 with kickoff set for noon. After opening the year with the two road games, Moravian will play three straight home games at Rocco Calvo field beginning with a non-conference contest versus The Apprentice School from Virginia on Saturday, September 16 with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. The final non-conference game on the schedule will also be Homecoming with the Hounds hosting SUNY Morrisville on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m.
The Greyhounds will begin their inaugural Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 30 when the squad welcomes Keystone College to Rocco Calvo Field at 1:00 p.m. The Blue & Grey start the month of October on the road with a trip to The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 7 with kickoff at noon. Moravian will have a week off before heading to Juniata College on Saturday, October 21 for another 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
The Hounds play two of their final three games back at Rocco Calvo Field as the squad hosts Susquehanna University on Saturday, October 28 at 1:00 p.m. for Family Day. After a trip to Lycoming College on Saturday, November 4 for a 1:00 p.m. game for the final road contest, Moravian closes out the 2023 season by hosting Wilkes University on Saturday, November 11 at noon at Rocco Calvo Field.
