Moravian Takes 10th in Montgomery Cup

WEST CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf squad finished 10th of 12 schools at the two-day, 36-hole Montgomery Cup hosted by Rosemont College at the Concord Country Club Saturday and Sunday.

The Greyhounds finished with a team score of 660 with a 346 on Saturday and a 314 Sunday, which was the seventh best second round. Senior Nick Kuhn led the Blue and Grey with a two-day score of 157 to finish in a tie for 26 of 66 competitors. Kuhn had an opening round of 85 on Saturday while he carded a two-over par 72 on Sunday tied for the best round of the day.

Freshman Andrew Hozza tied for 53rd with a 36-hole score of 168 with rounds of 90 and 78 while junior Kody Kolnik was 55th with a 169 after rounds of 90 and 79. Junior Thomas Lakata was one spot back with rounds of 81 and 89 while sophomore Will Breslin finished 63rd after rounds of 91 and 85.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to play in the Muhlenberg College Invitational at the Lehigh Country Club on Monday, October 7 with tee-off set for 12:30 p.m.
