BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held a Food Drive this November for Mo's Cupboard on the Moravian campus.

Opened during the fall of 2018, Mo's Cupboard provides shelf stable food items, toiletries, dorm and cleaning supplies to any Moravian College, Graduate, or Seminary student in need. For more information on Mo's Cupboard, visit https://www.moravian.edu/provost/student-success/resource-pantry.

SAAC asked each student-athlete on campus to donate either a canned good or $1 towards the purchase of canned goods and hygiene products to donate to Mo's Cupboard. While the SAAC members were at Weis buying canned goods, a customer asked what they were doing. After hearing about Mo's Cupboard, the customer gave the group an additional $40 that helped purchase another 85 cans that pushed the total donation to Mo's Cupboard to 543 cans along with other hygiene products.

"We did this to support those in need here on campus," commented junior field hockey player and SAAC Secretary Nicole Grayuski. "Donating to Mo's Cupboard allowed us to help provide the resources that the campus needs to help others in need."

Moravian's SAAC meets throughout the school year and has at least two representatives from every varsity team. Over the years, the group has collected, wrapped and distributed Christmas presents at Turning Point, hosted a Special Olympics Basketball Tournament as well as helped with Take a Kid to the Game events and Moravian's Sophomore Leadership meetings each February.
