2005 Women's Soccer Team - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee

2005 women's soccer team to be inducted into Moravian Hall of Fame.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The 2005 Moravian College women's soccer team is being inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame on October 11, 2019 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The team was coached by Eric Lambinus '94, now the head coach at Lehigh University, and captured the program's first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament appearance and victory while posting a 2-1, double-overtime win versus Washington & Lee (Va.) University in the first round at Dickinson College. The squad, which finished the year at 16-6-1, was led by senior forward Megan Collins, who had 16 goals with eight game-winners and six assists, and freshman forward Tracy Fitzpatrick Franklin, one of this year's Hall of Fame inductees, who had eight goals and eight assists, as both players were named to the Commonwealth All-Conference First Team. Senior defender Erin Gonda and freshman Caitlin Corrigan were selected to the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team.

Fitzpatrick Franklin is being joined by softball student-athlete Maria DeBonis Braxmeier '09; football student-athlete Jeff Pukszyn '98 and men's tennis competitor Jason Toedter '04 in the class of 2019 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2007 softball team that Braxmeier played on will also be inducted on October 11 while Gene Medei '61 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.
