TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 47 student-athletes to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.
Of the 47 student-athletes, seven were repeat honorees, and five were named to the Landmark All-Conference teams in their respective sports.
The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes selected demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They are ambassadors for the team, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
The All-Sportsmanship Team was created by the Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in 2013 as a way to highlight student-athletes who are making an impact. The Landmark previously awarded a Sportsmanship Cup before the All-Sportsmanship Team replaced the Cup for the 2013-14 academic year.

Cross Country
Senior Marlee Hornbaker is the women's cross country honoree on the All-Sportsmanship Team. Hornbaker finished 78th at the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships in a time of 31:05.77 as Moravian placed second as a team in the meet. She is a three-time selection to the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
"Marlee has always been exceptionally supportive of both her teammates and competitors." Director of Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann said. "I can recall a number of battles between both Marlee and Rebecca Herwig of Juniata where they fought tooth and nail throughout the race but Marlee was the first to congratulate Rebecca after the race, win, lose, or draw. She's like this with everyone, though. She fights hard when competing but knows how to flip the switch and show her fellow runners the mutual respect and congratulations they deserve. Marlee has a very kind heart which will be great for her future career as a nurse, just as it has been while she's represented our XC/TF program."
Sophomore Michael Lerch was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for the men's cross country program. Lerch was 23rd in the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships with a time of 28:02.98 to help the Greyhounds to a runner-up finish.
"Mike has a very calm and courteous demeanor to him," noted Baumann. "He's the type of person who'd apologize to you if you stepped on his foot. He certainly has a competitive streak, but he knows how to act with decency and respect towards his competitors. He's become a very good runner for our program in the past 12 months as well so not only is he a great representative of and for our team, but he's also been a key contributor to our success."
Volleyball
Senior defensive specialist Alexis Szaro was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team from Moravian's volleyball squad. Szaro finished her final season with 200 digs, 30 assists, 22 service aces and four kills to give her career totals of 903 digs, 90 service aces, 63 assists and 10 kills. Szaro is a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
"Lexie finished her career well by modeling for our young team a spirit of encouragement, respect for coaches and opponents, and a strong work ethic and desire to improve throughout the entire season," commented Head Coach Shelley Bauder.
Field Hockey
Senior defender Haley Wrazien is the field hockey team's 2019 recipient of the All-Sportsmanship honor. Wrazien finished her career with one goal and five defensive saves in 46 matches, and she is a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
"Haley is one of the most well-rounded student-athletes I've coached," stated Head Coach Kristen Gillis. "Her dedication to her sport, her studies and her team shine through in everything she does. She is the calm, composed and mature athlete every team needs in order to have success. Her sportsmanship and ability to have her teammates rally around her truly show how deserving she is of this award."
Women's Soccer
Senior goalie Jamie Daly has been a key member of the Greyhounds' squad for four years. This year, she started all 15 matches in goal for the Hounds as the squad went 7-7-1. Daly had a 1.22 goals-against average with 31 saves in 810 minutes and she finished her career with a 0.96 goals-against average and 81 saves in 2,155 minutes over 42 matches.
"Jamie had a very strong senior season which capped off a successful career in goal," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "She made some big time saves this season and kept us in some very competitive games. Her personality was well received amongst the team and staff. Jamie had a very competitive mindset and although she wouldn't always voice it or show it, she no doubt wanted win in every drill or game we played. I was very proud of her offseason this year and happy that she can say she ended her career as the best goalkeeper she could be."
Men's Soccer
Junior goalie Michael Bone is the men's soccer team's selection to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Bone was a key member for Moravian as the squad qualified for the Landmark Conference Tournament for the second consecutive year and had the program's first double-digit win total since 2002 with an 11-7-1 mark. He started 15 matches this fall with a 9-5-1 record, two shutouts, 68 saves and a 1.63 goals-against average for the Greyhounds.
"Congratulations to Mike Bone for being named to the Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Team," commented Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "Mike has been a major part of the success our program has had over the last two seasons. He is a leader and has great character. He works hard on and off the field. He is an excellent representative of the men's soccer program and of the college as well."
