Greyhounds Finish Fourth in Muhlenberg Invitational at Lehigh Country Club

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's golf team finished fourth of 18 teams in the Muhlenberg College Invitational played at the Lehigh Country Club Monday.

The Greyhounds had a team score of 306, their second lowest team round of the fall, and were 10 strokes behind winner Penn State-Berks and just one stroke out of third place behind Alvernia University. Dickinson College took second with a 299. The Blue and Grey were one stroke ahead of DeSales University in the tournament.

Moravian senior Nick Kuhn tied for seventh of 88 golfers with a round of 74 on the par 70 course. Kuhn's round, his fourth in the 70s this fall, included three birdies and 10 pars. Junior Thomas Lakata and sophomore Will Breslin both tied for 10th with rounds of 75 with Breslin carding 12 pars and one birdie and Lakata recording 11 pars and a birdie. Freshman Andrew Hozza was tied for 39th with an 82 that included two birdies and six pars while junior Kody Kolnik finished in a tie for 47th with an 83 that included eight pars.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Monday, October 14 when the squad closes out the fall portion of the season at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational that will be played at the Bent Creek Country Club.
