Golfers 10th after Opening Round at Glenmaura

MOOSIC, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team is tenth of 12 teams after the opening day of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by The University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Club Sunday.

The Greyhounds had a team score of 351 for the opening round while McDaniel College holds down the top spot with a 311.

Freshman Jim Maru leads Moravian with an opening round of 83 on the par 71 course which is tied for 24th of the 60 golfers in the tournament. Freshman Evan Dickinson is tied for 39th after shooting 88 while seniors Aaron Thieme and Tyler Thompson and junior Eric Schultz are all tied for 45th with opening rounds of 90.

The second and final round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational is scheduled for Monday, April 15th with tee off slated for 8:30 a.m.
