Golfers Finish 5th at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team placed fifth of 11 schools at the Muhlenberg College Invitational played at the Lehigh County Club Monday.

The Greyhounds had a team score of 333 while Alvernia University earned the top spot with a four-man score of 314. Russell Hill from Ursinus College earned medalist honors with a three-over-par round of 73.

Senior Tyler Thompson led Moravian individually with a season low round of 78 to tie for fifth of the 53 golfers in the tournament. Freshman Jim Maru was 12th win an 80 while freshman Evan Dickinson tied for 18th with a round of 83. Senior Aaron Thieme had a round of 92, which was tied for 38th, while junior Eric Schultz was tied for 46th with a 98.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 23rd when the Greyhounds host DeSales University and Cabrini College in a tri-match on the Weyhill Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
