Kurt Dick Selected as Corvias ECAC Division III South Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman goalie Kurt Dick has been named the Corvias ECAC Division III South Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for his performance last week.

Dick helped Moravian, which is in its first varsity season since 2010 after five years as a club program, to a 2-0 record last week with 25 saves in goal over the two matches. He made 11 saves in a 16-9 win at the College of Mount Saint Vincent on 20 shots, and then added 14 saves on 21 shots in a 9-7 victory at Wilkes University on Friday. For the week, Dick had four ground balls and a .610 save percentage.

"Kurt does a great job for us in the net," stated Head Coach Dave Carty. "He always comes up with saves that keep us in the game, and the guys love to rally around him after a big save."

The Greyhounds, who are 7-2 on the year, are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 30 in a non-conference contest versus King's College beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field.
