Moravian Falls at No. 7 Cabrini in Final Non-Conference Match of 2019 Season

RADNOR, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's lacrosse team dropped its final non-conference match of the 2019 season, falling on the road to No. 7 Cabrini University, 24-8, Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 7-6 on the year, had five player score goals in the contest with senior attack Mark Laratta netted three goals and two assists to go with a pair of ground balls. Junior attack Cade Siddron added two goals, an assist and three ground balls while junior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke and sophomore attack Connor Hull each had one goal and one assist. Senior midfielder Austin Adams found the back of the net once while senior midfielder John Kerrison added an assist with two ground balls.

Senior goalie Kurt Dick posted seven saves in 41 minutes of action as he became the second goalie in school history to reach 500 career saves while sophomore goalie Will Dadouris had two saves in 19 minutes. Senior midfielder Rick Guerra was 12-for-29 on face-offs with a team-high seven ground balls, and Guerra is now 468-for-884 on face-offs in his career, both the most face-offs won and taken in program history. Senior defender John Polich contributed three ground balls while sophomore defender Tanner Leslie had two ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.

The Cavaliers scored the opening three goals of the match before a man-up goal by Adams made it 3-1 with 7:36 left in the first quarter. Siddron scored with 1:13 left in the period to cut it to a 4-2 match but Cabrini scored twice in the final minute to lead 6-2 after the first 15 minutes of action. The Cavaliers would score seven times in the second quarter to lead 13-2 at the break.

Hull opened the second half with a goal, and Siddron, Schicke and Laratta each scored once in the third quarter but the Blue and Grey trailed 19-6 after three quarters. Laratta added two goals in the fourth quarter including the Greyhounds' second man-down goal of the season.

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 20 in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Madison, New Jersey.
