BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its Annual SAAC Kickoff event on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening to begin the 2018-19 athletic season.
The evening began with Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk welcoming all of the student-athletes and introducing the members of the coaching staff and athletic department in attendance. Coach Spirk also honored the returning teams that captured Landmark Conference titles in 2017-18 as well as participated in the NCAA postseason.
The event then moved to the center of Makuvek Field where Head Men's basketball Coach Justin Potts served as a emcee for a relay race with a dizzy bat and water balloon toss. After a group picture on the field, all of the student-athletes were treated to an ice cream sundae bar on the HUB patio and all of the freshman student-athletes received a Moravian Athletics, 21 sports - 1 team t-shirt compliments of the Blue & Grey Club.
