LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's cross country team finished ninth of 31 teams at the Rowan University Border Battle Saturday morning.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored 252 points along with Lebanon Valley College. Emory (Ga.) University won the meet with 37 points
- Sophomore Tara Smurla led the Hounds individually as she placed 20th of the 263 runners with a PR time of 22:34.4 on the 6,000-meter course
- Junior Amber Poniktera finished in 30th with a PR time of 22:56.1 while junior Rachael Goodman was 59th in a PR time of 23:36.2
- Sophomore Meghan Myers came in 73rd in a PR time of 23:48.6 while freshman Alexis Hockenberry was two spots back in a PR time of 23:52.8
- Rounding out the top seven for the Hounds were senior Pia Mazzella DiBosco in 93rd with a time of 24:08.4 and junior Ally Meeks one spot behind in a PR time of 24:10.4
- Freshman Alyssa Hockenberry took 111th in a PR time of 24:25.9 while junior Lexi Rushatz finished in 128th in a PR time of 24:40.1 and freshman Kayla O'Neil placed 153rd in a PR time of 25:11.5
