BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting their annual Midnight Madness event on Sunday, October 14th at 10:30 p.m. leading up to the first official day of the 2012-13 season on Monday, October 15th.

The teams will kick off the season with a variety of events including Roosevelt's Wing Toss, a wing-eating contest that will see who can eat 20 chicken wings in the shortest period of time, and Pott's Hot Dog Eating Contest.  The evening will also include a 3-on-3 tournament between four teams and several shooting contests.

The teams have secured numerous prizes to be given away through raffles and games including the chance to win a Nook Tablet.

The basketball teams will begin practice on Monday, October 15th with the women's team starting the regular season on Thursday, November 15th in a non-conference game at Ursinus College tipping off at 7:00 p.m. while the men's squad will play its first game on Friday, November 16th versus Elms College at 6:00 p.m. in the opening night of the Albright College Tournament.
